Parish requests SEA screening from District Council

At an extraordinary meeting of the full Parish Council on Wednesday, 28th September 2016 the Parish Councillors unanimously voted to submit the Draft Neighbourhood Plan to Chichester District Council for a screening opinion on the need for a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA). As part of the SEA screening the following statutory bodies are consulted: Historic England, Natural England and The Environment Agency. This ensures that environmental and any other sustainability aspects are considered in the draft policies and plan proposed for the Parish. Any comments from those statutory bodies will be taken into consideration by the Steering Group and the plan will be amended accordingly then brought back before the Parish Council for consideration in order to move forward into a six-week consultation with Parish residents, landowners and other stakeholders. If you have any comments on this process please contact the Parish Clerk, contact details are on the Parish Council website.
